This work is a common introduction to different theses: "VE.LA Eco-Lab", "Venice Co-working Park", "Venice Impact Hub".

Venice is a city of art that offers endless opportunities for learning, given its inestimable cultural heritage. The city is home to numerous educational centres such as schools, universities, libraries and cultural centres that offer educational and learning opportunities for all ages and social statuses. What is more, the city is a unique and stimulating place for informal learning: numerous museums, galleries, churches, camps generate opportunities to discover history, art and architecture. The vibrant Venetian cultural and artistic environment should not be overlooked: rich, lively, it offers continuous opportunities for learning and discovery. In addition, the city maintains a strong connection with the lagoon environment that helps immerse it in a unique ecosystem, creating opportunities for learning related to environmental sustainability, natural resource management and heritage conservation. The active participation of the Venetian community is essential, even if for now limited to local residents and organisations, which contribute to the design and implementation of educational programmes and learning initiatives that promote social inclusion and collective growth. However, institutions momentarily seem to be disinterested in the “Learning City” cause, or busy solving other problems.
