This initiative connects academic research with citizens, encouraging the exchange of ideas and offering new perspectives on the future of the city and on the issues related to the challenges that the lagoon city must face, first of all depopulation, despite its beauty, sustainability and quality of life.

Proposals are reviewed and approved by the Venice Urban Lab committee to ensure their relevance to Venice and its related themes or challenges. Selected works contribute to a growing archive of projects, showcasing innovative approaches, encouraging engagement and promoting collective reflection on the challenges and opportunities of the city.
