Events, initiatives, workshops, and projects
The training and design initiatives we offer are synergistic and methodologically complementary, with a strong connection to themes of the environment, landscape, sustainability, and the city as an ecosystem. In this context, Venice Urban Lab has identified a series of thematic focuses, initially presented as areas for in-depth exploration and later developed as topics for practical and operational application within workshops and other activities.
Our projects aim to ignite dynamics that restore Venice to being seen as a livable city, not just a tourist destination. To achieve this goal, we organize activities designed to raise awareness and create constructive dialogues, projects that stimulate and strengthen collective consciousness, and urban regeneration events, accompanied by small, tangible actions for transformation.

Knowledge Hub
Knowledge Hub is a platform, a collector and an ongoing archive of knowledge dedicated to Venice and its unique challenges and, through these, to the sustainable urban development of all cities in the world.

Call for Spaces
The CALL FOR SPACES, IDEAS, PLACES, BUILDINGS is an initiative launched to involve the citizens of Venice in a participatory process aimed at mapping abandoned or unused spaces, buildings, and places in the lagoon city and the mainland. This project, carried out exclusively online, represented a collective call to identify and enhance hidden or neglected urban resources, promoting a shared vision for the future of the city...
Placemaking in Venice
On the initiative of Venice Urban Lab, the Festival of the New European Bauhaus 2024, held in Brussels, came to Venice as a satellite event in the Santa Marta district.
