What We Do
Placemaking in Venice
On the initiative of Venice Urban Lab, the 2024 New European Bauhaus Festival, held in Brussels, arrived as a Satellite Event in Venice, in the S. Marta district.
It was an intense and productive day, where 50 people, including residents, students, and young people from other Italian and European cities, shared ideas, discussed, and took concrete action for the future of the Santa Marta area, fostering a sense of community and promoting innovative and virtuous actions.
From enhancing green spaces to promoting sustainable mobility and supporting local businesses, many interesting proposals emerged
Intentional Venetians
Intentional Venetians is an initiative by Venice Urban Lab aimed at discovering and introducing those who have chosen Venice as their city of residence, both long-term and more recently. In response to the well-documented depopulation, the project highlights a lesser-known but significant phenomenon: the attraction of new residents. Through short interviews, the initiative shares the stories of those who have decided to live in Venice, offering a positive view of the city as a dynamic and vibrant place, capable of attracting diverse generations and professions
Dialoghi Per La Città 2023
“Dialoghi per la città” is an initiative that offers a space for dialogue and discussion on urban regeneration and the co-design of public spaces in Venice. The event aims to promote concrete projects and local initiatives that contribute to enhancing the area and strengthening the cohesion of the local community. This is achieved through the involvement of citizens, associations, professionals, youth, and students in an open and pluralistic debate
